HANDBUILT FURNITURE + FABRICATION was founded by architect and interior designer Allison Whitt, whose multidisciplinary background and strategic vision shape the studio’s approach. We specialize in the design and fabrication of custom FF&E and architectural elements for hotels, restaurants, commercial, multi-family, and luxury residential projects. For select projects, we also provide full-service FF&E procurement, ensuring cohesion from sourcing to installation and delivering turn-key results.

Clients come to us at every stage—some with fully developed specifications, others seeking support from the earliest concept phase. As licensed architects and interior designers as well as experienced fabricators, we bridge creative vision with real-world execution. Whether refining a design or developing one from scratch, we weigh every project factor—functionality, durability, aesthetics, budget, timeline, buildability, and construction coordination.

Our team also provides Value Engineering support, recommending materials and installation methods that honor design intent while meeting budget and performance goals. Through a vetted network of partner workshops, we fabricate locally, in Mexico, in Canada, and overseas, matching each piece to the makers best suited to its materials—from wood and metal to stone, glass, and upholstery. This allows us to work across a wide range of budgets and timelines while holding every project to the same standard of quality and oversight.
